First trade started to box out so I cut it short with one tick winner. Of course it ran to my target right after that. LOL... Second trade I stood in front of good support. Caught two ticks of heat but no major issues there.

My stats for the month of August. 16 days of trading. Pretty light trading because I was caught between low volume days and work obligations.

August 28th

Missed the morning action so I took a couple trades in the early afternoon. Simple trades with little to no heat.

Here are my stat summaries for the month of August and the daily breakdown for the 15 days of trading.

Pretty proud of these numbers. Been working and trying hard to keep within Ed's guidelines and discipline. Discipline is the key. You don't need any particular trade and you have to accept losses, its part of the game. Accepting the losses is the hard part for me but as I gain more experience, I get a feel for when a trade is going against me and get out with no regrets.

August 27th

Again a low volume day but there was some opportunities that I should have taken. I guess I was tentative because of the low volume. As for the trade I took, the first one was good all the way, the second was basically a mistake. I didn't realize it was on until it was too late. I thought the entry was around .07 but it was .10. I got out at .07 but needed .10... Took the loss for my stupidity.

August 26th

Only took one trade due to low volume so I cherry picked the best entry I could find.

August 25th

Super light trading today. Saw some opportunities but did not act on them due to the low volume.

August 22nd

Back on track today. No more leaving the computer unattended while there is a trade in progress.

August 21st

Ugly day not trading but crash course in Ninjatrader. Ninjatrader does not execute orders offline, just ATMs. I learned that the hard way. I had two contracts running and had to leave the computer for an extended period of time. I removed the targets on the ATM and replaced them with standing orders with no ATM. Well those orders were never filled. I would have hit my orders and collected somewhere in the order of 60-70 ticks. Hard lesson learned. Trades with the ATMs grouped show a loss of 38 ticks. Trades without ATMs grouped show a loss of 8 ticks. Those numbers would have been way in the positive had I left the ATMs working and in place. Lessoned learned and thank god it was sim.

August 20th

Not much going on today in oil. Lots of sideways movement. The trade I did take, started to knife fight so I exited. Of course it ran to my target right after that, LOL...

August 19th

Took some break out trades this morning to the down side. The first one was a loser that I took but the trade actually gave me a few chances to get out break even or 2 ticks to the good. Trades #2 and #3 were quick scalps on the way down. Trade #4 is one that I am really proud of. I stayed in the trade the whole way and managed it all the way to my target which was .32 the trade went to .31 before retracing a little. I used the ADR for CL which is over 1.00. When I entered the trade, the daily range was around .60 so I figure the trade would move another .40 ticks. It worked out very well. :-)Trade #5 was a trade with no heat basic pullback to support that filled me right at my number .37 and hit my target with no heat.

August 18th

Traded two different contracts today. Early on 9-14 had the higher volume but the 10-14 quickly out paced the September contract. The second trade was my trade of the day. I got a terrible slippage of 2 ticks so I exited early and of course my target of .02 would have been hit with ease.

August 15th

Took two loses right away. I decided not to trade anymore today. Trading in the middle of the channels on a Friday is not a good idea. Should have waited for the outer 30.

August 14th

So so day in the market. Took some heat today. The only loss was a TAG but I should not have taken in hind sight. I just opened my platform and saw the trade immediately, instead of looking things over and taking my time, I jumped right in. A big no no. The trade with the big MAE was a shower trade. I set the break down point and went to shower. Ran against me 14 ticks and came back to hit my target.

Numbers are good. Everything is in line with what Ed likes to see, I believe.

August 13th

The only loss was me getting out early for no real reason. Didn't want to take the loss. I have to learn to take the loss and like it. The trade was a good one, with good support and nothing was violated to make the trade not produce a winner. Need to have more confidence with my trades. Guess it just comes with time and experience.

August 12th

Only took one trade for 4 ticks winner today. I was away from the computer most of the morning. I marked on my chart with blue arrows three more areas where support was held nicely and those trades would have produced nice results with little to no heat. I will look through the afternoon session and see what transpires.

August 11th

Didn't trade the morning. Took a few trades in the early afternoon session. Cut a couple trades off earlier than normal, didn't like the price action. So I moved on to the next trade until I got something that moved the way I like.

August 8th

August 6th and August 7th

Did not trade yesterday. Had an opportunity to go on a one day golf trip and took it. No trading this morning. I will look at the afternoon session and see if anything setups up for me. If it does, I will trade the afternoon session.

Took two trades I thought were good. Stood in front of a trade to resistance and it worked out well. The second was a TAG to resistance which was the day's high of the day. Got out with one tick positive because it started to knife fight at the top.

August 5th

Lots of sideways action. Took some heat on the trades today but none violated S/R. Low volume too made it tough to watch. So no runners just three scalps for 24 ticks. Cant complain. Need to do this everyday.

August 4th

Only one trade this morning. Got up late and was rushed a little.

Took this TAG in the afternoon session when I logged into my account. I didn't take the first down close because of outter space. I like to take the second down close especially if the run up is around 30+ ticks. I didn't stay in the trade long enough which is one of my BIG issues. It would have produced a nice run back down from .63.
